Bobby Witt Jr. Continues To Struggle
1 year agoKansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Thursday's 4-3 extra-innings win over the Cleveland Guardians. Witt Jr. didn't contribute much in the Royals' narrow win over their division rival and he's slashing just .192/.267/.231 over his last seven games (26 at-bats). While June was his best month as far as batting average and on-base percentage are concerned (.274/.333 over 95 at-bats), it was his worth month in terms of power. He's gone deep just twice and owns a lackluster .379 over the month. Overall, the 23-year-old is slashing .241/.286/.415 with 12 home runs, 38 RBI, and 23 stolen bases across 323 at-bats. The game-to-game results can be frustrating for fantasy managers but better days are ahead for Witt Jr.
