Bobby Miller In Concussion Protocol
2 mins agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Bobby Miller (concussion) is in concussion protocol. The right-hander was struck by a comebacker during their first Cactus League contest on Thursday afternoon. The 25-year-old was eventually able to walk off on his own power. Manager Dave Roberts said it was a "scary moment" and that he does not know how long he will be sidelined. After a promising rookie season, Miller took a significant step back during the 2024 campaign. Across 56 innings, Miller posted an 8.52 ERA and a 1.77 WHIP. He struck out 52 batters and showed weak command as he served up walks at a high 11.6 percent rate. During the 2023 season, Miller was quite effective, posting a 3.76 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP with 119 punchouts across 124 1/3 innings. Given his struggles last season, he was already facing a difficult path to have a spot in the starting rotation. Fantasy managers should expect Miller to open the season at Triple-A.
