Bo Naylor Debuts Saturday
2 years agoCleveland Guardians catcher prospect Bo Naylor had his contract selected from Triple-A Columbus on Saturday and made his major league debut against the Kansas City Royals. Naylor came in for Luke Maile in the sixth inning and went hitless in two at-bats, striking out once. The 22-year-old had a very nice season in the minors, slashing .263/.392/.496 while adding 21 homers and 20 steals. If he is given an opportunity to start for the Guardians next season, he could be a sleeper at the catcher position with his power/speed combo. It is worth keeping an eye on this situation during the postseason and next spring.
