Bo Horvat Scores Twice In Losing Effort
9 months agoNew York Islanders center Bo Horvat scored two goals on Sunday against the Rangers but was unable to save the team from a 5-2 loss in this season's second Battle of New York. Horvat gave his team the lead in the first period with a short-handed tally and knotted the score at two in the second with an even-strength goal, but the Islanders needed a lot more scoring on Sunday to match their neighbors. Patrick Roy's team is struggling to keep pace in the battle for a playoff spot, but Horvat definitely isn't to blame for this. He's had six goals in the last seven contests and already boasts four multi-point games for the month. It's been a strong first full campaign for the 28-year-old with the team, as Horvat is topping the Islanders' goals list with 29 markers and boasts 61 points in 66 games.
