4 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant has been rumored to be on the trade block all season, and the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Mets are the two teams that have the best chance at landing him, according to a club official not involved in Bryant trade talks. The Blue Jays and Mets have been linked to Bryant at various points, and there was some truth to a rumor over the weekend that the Jays have been discussing a deal for Bryant and starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks. It's mostly speculative right now, but the Blue Jays would like to add to their starting rotation and also are in the market for a third baseman with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. slated for first base in 2021. The Mets were in the running for DJ LeMahieu and George Springer, and Bryant can play both third base and left field, which would give New York a lot of flexibility with the rest of their roster.
