Blue Jays Interested In J.A. Happ Reunion
6 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays are interested in signing free-agent starting pitcher J.A. Happ, who they traded to the Yankees over the summer, according to sources. The left-handed veteran went 10-6 with a 4.18 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 10.3 K/9 over 20 starts with Toronto last year, but he was noticeably better in the Bronx after the trade. He had 17 wins overall and an ERA under 4.00, and the 36-year-old can still miss bats, making him worth a spot in the back end of your rotation in mixed leagues. Happ will surely have other suitors, but it might be in his best interest to leave the loaded American League East division.
