Blake Treinen Undergoes Shoulder Surgery
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Blake Treinen (shoulder) underwent right shoulder labrum and rotator cuff repair that was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache. Treinen and the Dodgers were going over their options after the 2022 season, but he was unable to avoid surgery that will knock him out for all of next season. And at 34 years of age, it's reasonable to wonder if this could end Treinen's career. He battled through multiple shoulder injuries in 2022 and managed to pitch five innings all year, although he did return in the postseason to toss one inning in the National League Division Series. The rehab process should take around 10 months for Treinen, so the Dodgers won't have him available in their bullpen next season.
