Blake Treinen Locks Down His Second Save
6 years agoOakland Athletics closer Blake Treinen locked down his second save of the season on Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels, working around a walk allowed. He was on point, throwing first-pitch strikes to each of the four batters he faced. He is one of the premier closers in the American League, and you can expect the A's to be involved in a lot of close games in the AL West, so his services will be needed. He posted 75 2/3 innings in 2017, and 80 1/3 innings in 2018, so the only concern about Treinen might be wear and tear. Other than that, he is a stud fantasy option across the board.
