Blake Snell To Throw Live Batting Practice Saturday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Blake Snell (groin) is set to throw a live batting practice on Saturday. The 29-year-old, who is currently on the injured list due to left adductor tightness, previously through a bullpen session on Tuesday. Snell isn't expected to be out for too long, but the team hasn't given a specific timeline for his return. MacKenzie Gore, who took Snell's rotation spot, had another strong outing on Wednesday so it's hard to imagine the Padres would take the 23-year-old rookie out of the rotation. We'll likely see Nick Martinez move to a long relief role once Snell is ready.
