6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell pitched a very strong outing versus the Athletics Tuesday. He went 5 2/3 innings without giving up a run. Snell would also strike out seven batters. He has been the Rays best pitcher this season with his record now being 7-3 with a 2.56 ERA. Snell is only 25 years old but already had 218 1/3 innings pitched in the majors going into 2018. The most obvious strength of Snell's young career has been his 217 strikeouts coming into the season, showing that he is a power pitcher that can make a difference in fantasy lineups. He seemed like a fourth or fifth starter for fantasy coming into the season but is currently vastly outperforming that.--Jamie Mellor
