Blake Perkins Suffers Shin Fracture
33 seconds agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Blake Perkins (shin) suffered a shin fracture during batting practice. He fouled a pitch off his right leg. Manager Pat Murphy said the outfielder is expected to be sidelined for at least 3-to-4 weeks and may not be able to return to games until May. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status during camp but should not expect him to be available for the opening month of the campaign. Last season, Perkins logged a career-high 121 games and held a .240/.316/.332 line with 13 doubles and six home runs. He swiped 23 bags. Perkins was expected to make the Opening Day roster as a depth infielder but now may open the campaign on the injured list. As a result, Manuel Margot, who the team signed on Friday, could have a viable path to open as the No. 2 center fielder behind Garrett Mitchell.
