Las Vegas Raiders linebacker Blake Martinez announced his retirement from the NFL on Thursday in a statement that he posted on his Instagram account. He signed with the Raiders in October and played in four games, recording 20 tackles (14 solo). The New York Giants released Martinez at final cuts in the summer. He was originally a fourth-round selection in 2016 by the Green Bay Packers out of Stanford. The 28-year-old spent the first four seasons of his career with the Packers before playing with the Giants for two years. Martinez will finish his seven-year NFL career with a total of 706 tackles (442 solo), 13 sacks, 39 tackles for loss, 18 QB hits, four interceptions, 22 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in 84 regular season games (78 starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
