2 years agoLos Angeles Kings forward Blake Lizotte scored his fifth goal in a 4-1 loss to the Canucks Friday. The former Minot Minotauros junior player now has six points in 19 contests. His last point came on November 14th against the Calgary Flames. Lizotte centers the King's fourth line. He is an essential player for Los Angeles, but Lizotte is more of a role player. As a result, the centerman is not a factor in fantasy play.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

5 months agoPittsburgh Penguins center Blake Lizotte (concussion) has been activated from Injured Reserve ahead of Thursday's meeting with Anaheim. He's available to make his season debut after recovering from a concussion. Lizotte was hurt in a preseason game after linking up with the Penguins on a two-year, $3.7 million deal in the summer. The 26-year-old will fill a bottom-six role on the team. Last season, Lizotte produced 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 62 appearances. He has averaged around 0.33 points per game for his career, meaning Lizotte can make an impact offensively at times, but he definitely isn't somebody who gets on the score sheet regularly.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

6 months agoPittsburgh Penguins center Blake Lizotte has been diagnosed with a concussion and is out indefinitely. He was hit to the head by a puck in Sunday's preseason game against Ottawa. This is a bad setback for Lizotte, who was gearing up for a fresh start in Pittsburgh. After spending his first five NHL campaigns with the Los Angeles Kings, Lizotte inked a two-year deal as a free agent with the Penguins in the offseason. He has tallied 106 points (37 goals, 69 assists) in 320 career games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

7 months agoPittsburgh Penguins center Blake Lizotte (head) is under evaluation after getting hit by a puck in Sunday's preseason game against Ottawa. Lizotte was struck in the head by a puck while sitting on the Penguins bench and didn't finish the contest. He was scheduled to see a doctor on Monday. Following a disappointing 15-point campaign in L.A., Lizotte signed a two-year, $3.7 million contract with the Penguins this offseason. The 26-year-old is projected to start the season as the team's fourth-line center. However, Sunday's incident could derail those plans.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 year agoLos Angeles Kings forward Blake Lizotte (lower body) has resumed skating on his own, but there is still no timetable for his return. The young forward suffered a lower-body injury against the Carolina Hurricanes on Jan. 15 and has yet to return to practice. Prior to his injury, the 26-year-old had taken a sizeable step back offensively. He recorded just five goals and nine points across 34 games after tallying a career-high 11 goals and 34 points across 81 games last season. The St. Cloud State product has had his ice time drop to a career-low 11:05 this season, a notable hit from his 12:57 figure from just last season. Even when healthy, he may be squeezed out of the lineup with Viktor Arvidsson (back) set to make his season debut at some point during the team's current four-game road trip.--Brenton Kemp
