Blake Griffin Posts First Double-Double Of The Year
4 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin battled his way to his first double-double of the season on Friday, finishing a 110-105 overtime victory against Phoenix with 16 points and 12 rebounds. His shooting was off with a 5-for-13 record from the field, but Griffin sank five of six shots at the line to boost his scoring numbers, and he also produced five assists and one steal. Watching Griffin play isn't a pretty sight these days, as he's lost most of the explosiveness that made him one of the league's most exciting players, but he still has a bit left in the tank. He'll be out to show it next against Utah on Sunday. It could be a very tough outing for Griffin, as the Jazz have limited power forwards to 41.5 percent shooting this season and they own one of the highest rebounding rates in the league.
