Blake Bortles Should Play Several Series In Second Preseason Game
6 years agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles played just a single series in the team's preseason opener, capping a 79-yard drive off with a rushing touchdown, but he is expected to play multiple series on Saturday against the Vikings. Jacksonville.com's Phillip Heilman says that Bortles likely won't play the entire first half for the Jaguars, but he should be on the field enough to make an impact early on as the Jaguars keep trying to figure out the wide receiver rotations. Expect Bortles to throw the ball often in this one as the team looks to see how he meshes with the team's pass catchers. For anyone playing DFS in the preseason, a few series of Bortles presents some upside, even if he isn't on the field as long as other quarterbacks around the league.
