Blaine Hardy Struggles In Spot Start
6 years agoUnsurprisingly, Detroit Tigers relief pitcher Blaine Hardy struggled to contain the potent Boston Red Sox lineup in his spot start on Sunday afternoon. Hardy allowed five hits and four earned runs in just three innings while striking out three and walking no one. He did have a limited pitch count of 50-60 pitches and was pulled in favor of Drew VerHagen after he reached 55 pitches. The Tigers eventually fell to the Red Sox, 9-1. Hardy now holds a 3.77 ERA, and can be avoided for fantasy purposes.
