Blackhawks Acquire Rights To Corey Perry
1 year agoThe Chicago Blackhawks acquired the rights to Corey Perry from the Tampa Bay Lightning for a 2024 seventh-round draft pick Thursday. The veteran winger is a pending unrestricted free agent, coming off a four-year, $8 million deal. Perry turned 38 in May and he's way past his best, but the former MVP has provided solid fourth-line production in recent seasons and will add grit and leadership to the Blackhawks if they get him signed. Perry has missed only one regular-season game across the past two campaigns, providing 31 goals and 34 assists.
