Billy McKinney Just Keeps Raking
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Billy McKinney was 3-for-5 at the plate on Friday night against the Miami Marlins. He has been scorching hot since coming over the to Blue Jays in the J.A. Happ trade as he now has a .395 average with three homers and 10 RBI through 12 games with the team. McKinney was a former first-round pick, but he struggled in the minors this season as he only had a .222 average across three different levels of minor league ball. Perhaps the change of scenery is just what he needed because the early results have been impressive. To be fair, it is a very small sample size, but it is worth picking McKinney up to try and ride the hot streak.
