Billy McKinney Belts Two Homers In Mets Rout
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Billy McKinney went 3-for-5 with two home runs, five RBI, and three runs scored in the Mets 14-1 win over the Orioles on Wednesday. The home runs were his third and fourth with the Mets since coming over from the Milwaukee Brewers in a trade back on May 11. McKinney is now slashing .227/.285/.462 on the season, with seven HR, and 17 RBI in 132 at-bats. McKinney should continue to see regular playing time while Brandon Nimmo (finger) and Michael Conforto (hamstring) remain on the injured list. With no clear timeframe established for Nimmo's and Conforto's return, McKinney could have regular at-bats through the end of June in the middle of a solid Mets lineup. As a result, McKinney is a sneaky stop-gap add in NL-only and deep-mixed fantasy formats for managers in need of homers and RBI.
