Bills Cut Former First-Rounder
6 years agoThe Buffalo Bills have released the Browns former first-round pick, wide receiver Corey Coleman. This comes as a bit of surprise given the lack of receiving talent the Bills have on their roster. Coleman was acquired from the Cleveland Browns on Aug. 5 for a seventh-round pick in 2020. Coleman was given an opportunity in Buffalo, but a poor preseason performance led to the Bills cutting ties with the 24-year-old. He made only three catches for seven yards in the first three games of the preseason. In the finale, his presence was negated, as he had zero catches on three targets. The Bills will roll out Kelvin Benjamin, Zay Jones, Jeremy Kerley and Andre Holmes at wide receiver. Hopefully this will be a good sign for Benjamin, tight end Charles Clay and running back LeSean McCoy, as this could lead to more targets with less mouths to feed in the passing game.
