Bills Bring Damar Hamlin Back
8 mins agoThe Buffalo Bills agreed to terms to re-sign safety Damar Hamlin on an undisclosed one-year deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Hamlin, who famously went into cardiac arrest on the field against the Cincinnati Bengals on a Monday night game in 2022, will stick around in Buffalo for a fifth season after collecting 89 tackles (62 solo), his first two career interceptions, a career-high five pass breakups and a fumble recovery in 14 regular-season starts in 2024. At the very least, the 26-year-old defensive back will provide depth in Buffalo's secondary, but depending on what the team does the rest of the offseason, Hamlin could be in line to start at safety in 2025. The former sixth-round pick in 2021 out of Pittsburgh has 184 career tackles (129 solo), 1.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, two interceptions, nine pass breakup, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in his four seasons.
