Benny Snell Jr. Has Surgery, Out 2-3 Weeks
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Benny Snell Jr. (knee) underwent surgery to trim the meniscus in his knee, according to a source. It was a minor procedure but is expected to keep him out for two to three weeks. Snell suffered the injury in the Monday night win over the Dolphins. It's a hit to the team's running back depth, especially with James Conner (shoulder) also getting injured on Monday. The good news is that it looks like Jaylen Samuels (knee) will be able to return this Sunday against the Colts, and he could have RB2 upside if Conner is held out or limited at all. Next up on the depth chart would be Trey Edmunds. Snell can be dropped in most leagues with Samuels nearing a return.
