Ben Simmons Tallies Career-High Seven Steals
5 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons registered his first double-double of the season on Saturday, finishing a 117-11 win over Detroit with 13 points and 10 assists. He went 5-for-13 from the field and 3-for-7 from the charity stripe. Simmons possibly played an even bigger part defensively as he snatched a career-high seven steals. His shooting was poor, but overall it was a very good all-around performance from Simmons, who didn't record a single steal in the season opener against Boston. The former Rookie of the Year will likely be all over the court again in Monday's matchup with the Hawks. Simmons has been close to averaging a triple-double against Atlanta in his career, getting 18 points, 11.3 rebounds and 9.6 assists.
