Ben Simmons Leads Sixers With 20 Points On Sunday
5 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons scored a team-high 20 points in Sunday's 109-89 loss to Brooklyn, shooting 7-for-10 from the field and 6-for-8 at the line. His line also included five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 29 minutes. It was a poor performance from the Sixers, who were without Joel Embiid (illness). His absence opened up more possessions and Simmons took full advantage of it. He's now recorded back-to-back 20-point games. However, Philadelphia's next matchup will be a tricky one for Simmons, as they will host Miami on Wednesday. The Heat have been one of the better defensive sides against point guards this season, and they limited Simmons to just four points in the previous meeting between the two teams.
