Ben Griffin A Decent Option In Weaker Field At John Deere Classic
5 months agoThere hasn't been much excitement in playing Ben Griffin since his solo second at the RBC Canadian Open. He hasn't cracked the top 30 in the three events since, mostly because of horrible putting. However, he has a chance to notch another high finish this week at TPC Deere Run, which, certainly fits his game better than the Detroit Golf Club he played last week. Approach numbers between 125-175 yards will make up nearly 40% of the looks at TPC Deere Run, and Griffin ranks 25th in proximity from 125-150 (21' 11") and 71st from 150-175 (28' 2"). With such a weak field, you're grasping at straws to make a fair argument for most of the guys in the field, and at $10,200 on FanDuel, he makes as good a case as any.
