5 years agoColorado Rockies pitching prospect Ben Bowden (back) hasn't made much progress from lower back soreness and is likely to be out for another month, according to manager Bud Black. Ranked as the team's No. 8 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, at the end of last season, the 25-year-old southpaw has a chance to be a true impact reliever at the back end of the bullpen for the Rockies. However, his development will be halted to begin the 2020 season, and he might not be an option until later this year or in 2021. Bowden has the ability to miss bats and could be in the mix for a high-leverage role in the team's bullpen whenever he gets to the majors.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
