Ben Bowden Inks Minors Deal With Braves
12 months agoThe Atlanta Braves have signed left-handed pitcher Ben Bowden to a minor-league contract. The 29-year-old spent the 2023 season pitching at Triple-A in the Phillies' organization, working to a 4.64 ERA across 49 relief outings, notching five saves in the process. He has largely pitched in the Rockies' organization in his professional career before bouncing around of late. He logged 39 MLB appearances with the Rockies in the 2021 season, working to a 6.56 ERA with unhealthy walk and ground-ball rates in tow. His recent Triple-A results have been discouraging, as well, but he at least gives the Braves a left-handed relief option should he bounce back in the 2024 campaign.
