6 years agoMiami Heat center Bam Adebayo not only collected a double-double during Saturday’s win over the Washington Wizards, but he dished out a career-high eight assists as well. Head coach Erik Spoelstra seems to have unlocked Adebayo’s potential by inserting him into the starting five ahead of Hassan Whiteside. In his 20 games as a starter this year, Adebayo is averaging 11.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per contest, an improvement over his 7.4 points and 6.4 rebounds in 53 outings off the bench. The three-headed frontcourt trio of Adebayo, Whiteside and Kelly Olynyk should all see hefty workloads down the stretch.--Jesse Borek
