Baltimore Remains In Starting Pitching Market
1 day agoAccording to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Baltimore Orioles are still looking for upgrades at starting pitcher. The Orioles were unable to resign their ace Corbin Burnes who was eventually signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks. However, the Orioles did bring in right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano from Japan and veteran Charlie Morton on one-year contracts. While Sugano and Morton will likely slot in as the No.4/No.5 options in the rotation, the Orioles are still looking for a top option. Rosenthal noted that Jack Flaherty is currently the top option on the free agent market while Dylan Cease and Luis Castillo could be acquired via trade. In addition, Pablo Lopez, Jon Gray, and Merrill Kelly could also be trade targets for Baltimore. For the time being, fantasy managers should expect Grayson Rodriguez to be viewed as the top option with Zach Eflin and Dean Kremer slotting in as the No.2 and No.3 options.
