1 year agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield made his team debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers during the preseason opener on Friday. The 28-year-old started in the first half and surprisingly played very well. He completed 8-of-9 passing attempts for 63 yards and a touchdown. The score was a back corner touchdown pass to sixth-round rookie Trey Palmer. This was a solid start for Mayfield's career in Tampa Bay considering he was mainly playing with backups. He's competing with Kyle Trask who came in and struggled after Mayfield departed from this contest. After one game, it appears Mayfield has the edge over Trask for the starting gig.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
