Bailey Ober Yields Five Runs In First Loss
3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Bailey Ober really struggled in Wednesday's loss to the Chicago White Sox. Ober lasted just 3 1/3 innings, surrendering five runs on four hits while walking a pair of batters. The 25-year-old couldn't keep the ball in the park, as he yielded three home runs, including two in the second inning. Ober did induce eight whiffs- five of them on his fastball, which was one MPH faster than his season average, though the offering was walloped to the tune of a 100.7 MPH average exit velocity. Ober's 5.84 ERA and 1.38 WHIP leave him off the fantasy radar this season, though an 18.9 percent K-BB rate points to future success as a big-league starter.
