Bailey Ober Fans Five In No-Decision
3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Bailey Ober was so-so over five innings of work in a no-decision against the Astros Friday. Ober allowed three runs on seven hits, including two homers, striking out five against just one walk. The 26-year-old continues to harness his effective fastball, counting on it for six of his eight whiffs. The pitch has been his best and most reliable offering this year, as he throws it 58.3 percent of the time while allowing just a .286 expected wOBA. Ober's secondary pitches haven't been as good, which in turn has kept him from going deep into games. Still, there's no doubt he can strike out big league hitters, which should have him on fantasy manager's radars heading into next season.
