Bailey Falter Removed From Game Early With Left Arm Discomfort
5 months agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Bailey Falter was removed early from Saturday's start with what the team is describing as, "left posterior arm discomfort." The lefty was removed after throwing two innings and giving up three runs on five hits to go along with two walks. The posterior arm muscles' main job is to extend the forearm at the elbow joint and one of the main muscles in the posterior section of the arm is the triceps. The team has yet to release more information on Falter's injury outside of the discomfort but Falter was quoted as saying that he's "not worried" about his injury. Until more information is released, the lefty should be considered day-to-day but given his lack of worry about the injury it sounds like any time missed will be minimal. Falter's next scheduled start is Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers but fantasy managers should prepare for the chance that Falter's start gets skipped to give the 27-year-old more time to rest.
