2 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Austin Slater (hamstring) exited Wednesday's game against the Washington Nationals prematurely after experiencing left hamstring tightness while running the basepaths. There will be more information regarding the severity of the aliment on Thursday after the team gets imaging done. Slater's only played in eight games this season after beginning the season with an elbow issue and is slashing .368/.455/.421 with three runs, two RBI, and a pair of stolen bases. If the 30-year-old does miss time, expect his platoon mate Michael Conforto to see more time against left-handed pitching.--Spencer Seguin
