Austin Shenton Keeps Hitting In Triple-A
1 year agoTampa Bay Rays' prospect Austin Shenton has continued to produce excellent numbers after a July promotion to Triple-A. The 25-year-old is hitting .289 with 11 home runs over 40 games with Durham. Across two levels this season, the third baseman's overall numbers are just as impressive at .300/.405/.588 and 26 HRs in 481 plate appearances. While you won't find Shenton near the top of many prospect lists, he does have a remarkably consistent track record over his time in the minor leagues. With seemingly very little left to prove on the farm, the Florida International product could see time in Tampa as soon as this September. He should be on the radar for both redraft leagues and dynasty formats.
