Austin Romine Picks Up Three Hits As Yankees Prevail
5 years agoStarting behind the plate once again, New York Yankees catcher Austin Romine made the most of his start, leading the team in hits Tuesday night against the Orioles. Following Gary Sanchez's return late last week, Romine became the backup catcher once again but is still seeing consistent playing time. On Tuesday he recorded three hits, scoring a run as the Yankees beat the Orioles for the 15th consecutive time this season, 8-3. Following the sixth three-hit game of his career, Romine is batting .271 with six home runs and 28 RBI this season.
