Austin Romine Delivers Two-Run Home Run In Win
6 years agoStill seeing consistent action in light of New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez’s injury and current disabled list stint, catcher Austin Romine is enjoying his best stretch at the plate. Over his last 15 games, the 29-year-old is hitting .288 but has been especially strong over the past week. In his last seven games, he has two home runs and six RBI, bringing his season totals to eight home runs and 35 RBI. After his play emerged to starter he struggled initially, but August has been his best month of the season. At this point, he’s making a case to be considered to remain a starter once Sanchez returns, especially if the former All-Star continues to struggle immensely.
