Austin Rivers Battles Former Team, Dad
6 years agoWashington Wizards point guard Austin Rivers finished with nine points over 22 minutes off the bench in his first game back at Staples Center against the Los Angeles Clippers and his dad, head coach Doc Rivers. He also chipped in with three assists, a rebound, a steal and a blocked shot while hitting a three-pointer in the 136-104 loss. The performance was no better or no worse than usual, as he has been struggling to find his way in D.C. so far. He has just one game with double-digit points, coming on Oct. 20 when he had a season-high 12 against the Toronto Raptors. His fantasy appeal is limited to deeper leagues at the moment.
