Austin Pruitt Optioned To The Minors
Austin Pruitt has been optioned to Triple-A. He was in the running for a role in the bullpen but apparently lost out. He went 7-5 in his only major league season so far but with a terrible 5.31 ERA. He is currently just not much of a fantasy option.

Austin Pruitt Now Starting Against Boston
Austin Pruitt will start Saturday's meeting with the Red Sox. Paul Blackburn (illness) was initially scheduled to be on the hill for this one. However, he's under the weather, so Pruitt will enter the equation. The 33-year-old has appeared in 23 games this season, starting three, and has amassed a 1-5 record with a 2.93 ERA. But considering Boston has collected 21 runs in the last three games while winning six of their previous seven, fantasy managers should think twice before considering Pruitt for any fantasy setup.

Austin Pruitt Named Opener Versus Mariners
Austin Pruitt will serve as the opener for Wednesday's matchup against the Seattle Mariners. The A's have decided to shake it up and have Pruitt take the ball to begin the game. He's expected to go an inning or two before handing the ball off to Ken Waldichuk. The expectation is that Waldichuk will pitch multiple innings, but he's not an ideal fantasy option for Wednesday.
