Austin Nola Likely Back This Weekend
4 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher/first baseman Austin Nola (knee) could return to the club on Friday, but the worst-case scenario is sometime later this weekend. The 30-year-old injured his knee on a slide in Monday's game, but a subsequent MRI has come back clean. Nola is 2-for-11 in the early going after hitting .269 with 10 home runs in 79 games for the M's in 2019. He should continue to get the bulk of the starts behind the dish with Tom Murphy on the shelf, but could only provide fantasy value in two-catcher formats.
