Austin Meadows Slugs Third Home Run Of Year Saturday
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows hit his third home run of the season on Saturday afternoon, as he finished 1-for-4 with a walk and one RBI. It was his first long ball since slamming two home runs in the first two games of the season, and he is now slashing .267/.371/.633 with two doubles, three home runs, three RBI and six runs scored in eight games. Meadows has shown impressive plate discipline early on as well with five walks to seven strikeouts to start the year. He's looking great early on, and could very well be on his way to repeating his 2019 All-Star season performance, in which he clubbed 33 homers while hitting .291 with a .922 OPS.
