Austin Meadows Hits Third Spring Home Run On Sunday
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows has been raking this spring- and that continued in Sunday's loss to the Twins. Meadows went 1-for-3 with a solo home run- which traveled at an exit velocity of 108.8 MPH- his third home run in four games to go along with four runs scored and two walks in Grapefruit League action. The 25-year-old had a down year in 2020, largely due to the after-effects he experienced from the COVID-19 virus, as he slashed just .205/.296/.371. The down year presents a significant value opportunity for fantasy managers, as Meadows produced 33 homers with at least 80 runs and RBI while swiping 12 bags in his last full season. He's currently being picked at a 91 ADP, though he'll smash that if he's healthy, which he appears to be this spring.
