Austin Meadows Goes Through Agility Drills Tuesday
2 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Austin Meadows (Achilles) went through some agility drills and workouts on the field prior to the team's game against the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday. According to Tigers beat reporter Jason Beck, Meadows could begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday if he shows no lingering problems from the workout. Meadows hasn't suited up for a game since mid-June. He landed on the COVID-19 injured list back at that point in time, then was transferred to the 10-day injured list about a week ago due to strains in his left and right Achilles. It's certainly good news that he's nearing a rehab assignment, suggesting he could make his long-awaited return to the majors within the next week or two.
