Austin Meadows Continuing To Struggle In September
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows has had a rough season, slashing just .202/.288/.358 after posting a slash line of .291/.364/.558 in 2019. Meadows has been especially bad at the plate lately. Through seven games in September, Meadows is just 2-for-27 with 13 strikeouts. His barrel rate on the season is just 8.5%, a significant drop from last year's 12.5% clip. However, his hard-hit rate of 42.3% this year is comparable to last year's 42.9% clip. In shallow leagues, fantasy owners might need to drop or at least bench Meadows as he's simply running out of time to turn things around this year. Deep league owners, however, might struggle to find someone who has a better chance of contributing than Meadows on the waiver wire.
