Austin Hooper Remains a Red-Zone Threat
6 years agoAtlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper will be hoping to convert on one of his red-zone targets in Week 2. In the season opener, Hooper officially saw two targets in the red zone, catching one of them. Hooper really should have drawn a penalty for an accidental defensive pass interference that prevented him from having a shot to catch a sure touchdown. Unofficially Hooper also had a third red zone target late in the game, when he drew a penalty flag for illegal contact. Only Julio Jones saw as many red zone targets for the Falcons in week one, and I expect to see Hooper play a big part in trying to help the Falcons break out of their red zone struggles. Starting Hooper is risky as he will be touchdown dependent, but with their defense in tatters the Falcons offense needs to step up, and I expect Hooper to be a big part of that especially close to the goal line.
