6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler suffered another stinger in the Week 14 win over the Bengals and will require further testing, according to a source. A short week against the Chiefs on Thursday might make it tough for Ekeler to be ready. After disappointing as the lead back in Week 13, Ekeler bounced back with 15 carries for 66 yards and a touchdown on the ground against Cincy. He also added two catches for 28 yards. However, he might be forced to sit this Thursday. Even if he manages to play, his RB2 upside could be hurt if Melvin Gordon (knee) is able to return from his two-game absence. If Ekeler sits, rookie Justin Jackson's fantasy value will be based on whether Gordon returns.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
