4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler (hamstring) appears to be getting closer to making his return to the field. On Thursday, Ekeler tweeted out a video that showed him running sprints on the side at practice. Alongside the video, he added the message, "The time draws near." Ekeler has been out since Week 4 with a hamstring injury. He won't be activated from Injured Reserve this week, but there might be a chance that he'll be back in Week 11. For now, the Chargers will primarily utilize Troymaine Pope, Kalen Ballage and Joshua Kelley at running back as the team's No. 2 back Justin Jackson (knee) is also hurt.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
