Austin Dillon Wrecks During Practice At Dover, Will Start Last In Race
2 years agoDespite the poor weather forecast, NASCAR Cup Series teams got on track Saturday for their scheduled practice session, and it didn't take long for a few of the cars to find trouble on the track. The first one was Austin Dillon, who backed his #3 Chevrolet into the outside wall, damaging the back end and forcing his Richard Childress Racing team to get the backup car ready to race. To make matters worse, qualifying then got rained out, and Dillon will start 36th in the 36th-car field for this weekend's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. Dillon has just three top 10 finishes in 17 career starts at Dover, and it's going to be difficult for him to notch a fourth here this weekend.
