2 years agoAustin Dillon and the Richard Childress Racing Chevy begin in 18th on Sunday, right next to teammate Kyle Busch. Dillon thrived last year during the late run at Martinsville en route to a third-place effort. The No. 3 car was sixth after Stage 2 and stayed near the front the rest of the way. However, the fall race had problems from the start, as Dillon eventually got caught in an accident and wound up 33rd. Dillon's total speed in the short-track package from Richmond and Phoenix was concerning, especially when he finished 21st at Richmond.
