7 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Austin Bibens-Dirkx will make his first start of 2018 on Thursday. The right-handed pitcher had a 4.67 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 69 1/3 innings with the Rangers last season. He made just six starts in the majors, which accounted for 34 1/3 innings. However, his numbers were also not great as a starter, with a 4.72 ERA and just 15 strikeouts. So far this season at Triple-A, he has a 3.72 ERA with 32 strikeouts in 38 2/3 innings. Initially, Bibens-Dirkx has limited value in mixed leagues. However, if he can show similar strikeout upside in the majors as Triple-A, he could be a useful streamer going forward.--Ben Rolfe
